You might ask why this is so important.  CPA Australia is one of the largest global accounting bodies having members through Asia Pacific, as well as its home base. In 2011 it celebrated 125 years in the Accounting Profession.

To be a CPA, members must hold a University Degree(s) or a Post-Graduate Award recognised by CPA Australia, have completed CPA Australia’s professional level examinations and the Practical Experience Requirement (minimum of 3 years). Every CPA Member must participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year with a minimum of20 CPD hours and 120 COP hours each three year period.

Full members of CPA Australia use the designator letters CPA (senior members FCPA) The motto of CPA Australia is “Integrity”. Also, each member must comply to a strict code of conduct, set by CPA Australia.

To offer public accounting services, CPA’s must complete CPA Australia’s Public Practice Program and must hold a Public Practice Certificate in accordance with the CPA Australia by-laws. Why would you trust your most personal information with anyone else?
